Joshua
SAT/ACT Verbal, US and World History, English Literature, Writing
 
Joshua received his BA cum laude in modern history from San Francisco State University and his MA magna cum laude in Modern European Studies from Columbia University. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Political Science at the CUNY Graduate Center. He has written historical and political-economic analyses and cultural reviews for over a dozen publications.





Dana
Mathematics, SAT/ACT Verbal and Math
 
Dana holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Wesleyan University. There, he studied a breadth of fields ranging from creative writing to mathematics, and worked extensively with students at local high schools. Since moving to New York, he has advised students from top schools in algebra, trigonometry, calculus, physics, SAT math and verbal, and even philosophy. Dana's research is highly diverse and he has independently published work in philosophy, physics, and poetry journals. Through individualized practice and thoughtful commentary, he aims to cultivate an understanding of material that is both intuitive and comprehensive."



Cynthia
Algebra, SAT Math/Reading/Writing, Chinese Language
 
Cynthia is from Bergen County, NJ, and graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor's degree in economics. She began tutoring in high school in subjects ranging from math to biology to French, and she discovered that helping others grasp difficult concepts is both a skill and an art. As a bilingual Chinese American, Cynthia knows that translation is a key to understanding, and she has a knack for "translating" abstract ideas into a language that students can comprehend.


   

Kathleen
SAT/ACT Verbal, History, Writing, Literature
 
Kathleen is a social historian and educator. She holds her B.A. in American Studies from Fordham University, her M.A. in American History from Hunter College and recently completed an M.A. in Social Studies Education at New York University. Kathleen has taught history to middle school through college-level students and currently teaches Global and American History at a high school in New York City. In addition, Kathleen is trained to provide instruction in SAT verbal and writing strategies. She truly enjoys helping students develop their potential through through realistic goal-setting and continuous assessment.
